Project Update – Airly Creek Bridge Now Open - Glen Davis Road Bridge Replacements
Glen Davis Road will now be open to heavy vehicles until 18 January 2023, when the road will again be closed to vehicles above 4.5t to allow for the replacement of the Coco Creek bridge. The replacement of Coco Creek bridge is expected to be completed by late-April 2023.
Coco Creek bridge is the last to be replaced as part of this program, with Crown Creek bridge completed in September.
Council was able to achieve this project using funding received from the NSW Government’s Fixing Country Bridges Program. Council is very pleased to have been able to deliver this project to the community.
Please note that whilst the bridge is open to traffic, the footpath is still closed to pedestrians for several weeks, pending installation of railings.
The community is encouraged to stay up-to-date with potential changes to road closure dates, via the project webpage: here
