Penrith Regional Gallery will close its Black Mist Burnt Country exhibition with a forum of artists, curators, thinkers and activists to discuss the role and scope of political art in the digital age. How has social media changed the political landscape and artist commentary?

Panellists include Western Sydney University academic and author Professor Gay Hawkins, who will Chair the forum; Black Mist Burnt Country Curator JD Mittman, Western Sydney Aboriginal artist Blak Douglas, conceptual artist and change-maker Ian Milliss, pioneering Garage Graphix artists Alice Hinton-Bateup and Maxine Conaty; and artist Cigdem Aydemir, who is strongly influenced by her identity as an Australian Muslim woman with Turkish heritage.

Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest is located at 86 River Road, Emu Plains and is open 9am to 5pm, seven days a week. Entry is free.
