Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith and Minister for Disability Services, Ray Williams announced that NADO will receive $1,500 to provide a shuttle bus to support people with disability attend the Nepean Disability Expo.

Mr Ayres said the shuttle bus will be available between Penrith Station and Panthers Marquee over the two days of the event.

“Congratulations to all of the Nepean Disability Expo Committee and their staff who will selflessly give their time to ensure everyone can fully participate in this wonderful event,” Mr Ayres said.

Denise Heath, CEO of NADO and Chair of the Nepean Disability Expo Committee was delighted to receive the funds. “The committee is absolutely committed to ensuring that people with disability, their families and carers would have accessible transport to and from this important event and we can now let people know that this service will be available on both days of the Expo. The Nepean Disability Expo is a market place, where over 100 providers of services and products for people with disability will be showcased.”

Mr Williams said NSW is fully committed to ensuring the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) a success.

“Events, like Nepean Disability Expo, assist people with disability, their families and carers to understand the NDIS, as well as the local services and supports available,” Mr Williams.

The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is contributing more than $3.2 billion to the NDIS, to give people with disability more choice and control over their supports.

The NSW Government is one of the sponsors for this year’s Nepean Disability Expo which will be held in Penrith at the Panther’s Marquee on the 14th and 15th  September 2018.
