Lithgow Library is thrilled to announce that local resident Roderick Heath has chosen to exhibit his latest art exhibition at the Lithgow Library.

The library walls will be full of his dramatic pencil art works during the month of November 2023.

Discussing his latest collection, Roderick states “I love drawing people, particularly in a busy environment, interacting with something other than themselves. I need both to engage all my skill and make me feel like I’m stretching it, always taking it to some new level”.

Roderick’s exhibition pieces range from extremely complex pictures to simple portraits. Rich, poor, young, old, famous, obscure, from the past to the world today, from down the block to around the world - Roderick’s art captures them all.

His latest work in the exhibition involved some 150 hours of labour!

This will be the library’s last exhibition for the year so make sure you stop by and be amazed by the superb pencil art that is Roderick Heath’s preferred medium. The exhibition will run from 1st November 2023 till 30th November 2023.

The exhibition will be available for viewing during the Lithgow Library’s regular opening hours of 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on Saturday mornings. For more information on this event and other library events head to the Lithgow Library webpage at library.lithgow.com or follow Lithgow City Council Libraries on Facebook.

Local artists are invited to exhibit their works in the Lithgow Library free of charge. To make an exhibition booking contact the library on 6352 9100 or drop into the library and speak to a staff member.
