New Visitor Information Centre open in Katoomba town centre
Open daily from 9am-3pm (except Christmas Day), the centre is fully accessible and located a short distance from Katoomba Station, on the lower level of the Katoomba Civic Centre Arcade on Katoomba Street.
The centre is fully accredited, staffed by trained professionals, and provides assistance with planning activities in the Blue Mountains region.
In addition to providing expert advice, the centre stocks maps, guidebooks and a curated selection of quality souvenirs, including First Nations and locally made products.
Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill said: “There is so much to discover in our beautiful region, from must-see attractions to hidden gems.
“Whether you are a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, the friendly team can guide you to make the most of your time in the Blue Mountains.”
The fit-out of the new centre was part of a wider revitalisation of the Katoomba Civic Centre precinct.
The new Katoomba Visitor Information Centre will operate in addition to existing accredited Visitor Information Centres at Katoomba’s Echo Point Precinct and Glenbrook.
