Minister for Finance Mathias Cormann Visits Lindsay for Budget Breakfast with Local Businesses in Western Sydney
Held at the Regatta Centre in front of Penrith’s world famous rowing course, Minister Cormann addressed the Government’s national economic plan which underpins the 2018-19 Budget.
This includes tax incentives such as the $20,000 instant asset write-off incentive which has been extended for another 12 months.
Thousands of businesses throughout the region have already benefited from this initiative.
“Minister Cormann’s visit to the Lindsay electorate highlights the importance of the Western Sydney business community and its contribution to the economy,” Senator Payne said.
“The Government’s national economic plan is delivering a stronger economy, record jobs growth and a recovery in non-mining business investment. To continue this growth, it is important to stick to the key plan.
“We have delivered small and medium business tax cuts that benefit almost 30,000 businesses in our region. Small and medium business tax cuts will help upwards of 19,000 local businesses with turnovers of up to $50 million if they are incorporated, and up to $5 million if they are unincorporated, invest, employ and pay their workers more,” Senator Payne said.
“This breakfast was a wonderful opportunity to bring Western Sydney stakeholders together and have their questions directly answered by the Minister.”
