Mallard Welcomes Highway Upgrade Design Consultation
“Today’s announcement is the next step in delivering this final stage of upgrade to the Great Western Highway,” Mr Mallard said.
“Duplicating the highway from Katoomba to Lithgow will deliver time savings for locals and a safer highway for all motorists.”
The benefits for Blue Mountains residents and businesses will be an important outcome of the upgrade.
“As Upper Mountains locals know you avoid the highway often over weekends and holiday periods when it becomes a huge car park. The upgrade will address these dreaded bottlenecks for benefit of residents and visitors alike.”
