Lithgow Council today welcomed the Planning Assessment Commission approval of the Invincible Southern Extension project and acknowledged the support of the NSW Government and Local Member Paul Toole in their attempts to create local jobs, infrastructure and investment in the Lithgow community.

“This approval for Invincible is most welcome and the efforts of the NSW Government to increase employment in the Lithgow area are acknowledged and need to continue,” said Mayor Lesslie.

“Coal mining and coal miners are important to Australia and Lithgow and I encourage the NSW Government and Federal Governments to support Lithgow Council’s stance through their policy development as has happened today with the approval of the Invincible Extension,” said Clr Lesslie.
