The Seven Valley’s annual festival of lights LithGlow is returning once again to the Blast Furnace Park on Saturday 11 May from 5:00pm until 9:00pm

The event which lights up the Lithgow Valley has become a community favourite with a night of Light shows, food, music and entertainment.

This year there will be some exciting new elements, large scale projections will be beamed onto the facades of the Blast Furnace and around the park, featuring a curated selection of local artists work from Gang Gang Gallery, Animations from the Youth Digital Media Lab at Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra, Western Sydney University and artworks fromBilingarra - Indigenous Art and Culture – Gallery.

This year there will also be a free Glow-Zone facilitated by Planet Youth Lithgow where you can get warm and glowing, to become part of the symphony of light.

KFM Media have curated the live entertainment, lighting and projections to create an immersive and spectacular event.

Lithgow local Taylah Harrington will start the evening by bringing her multi-instrumental magic followed by the three-piece band ‘Grey Area’ who are set to wow with their diverse and eclectic mix of feelgood musical creativity.

A huge range of delicious food and interesting retail stalls will be provided by event partners Aussie Night Markets.

The evening culminates in the Energy Australia Fireworks by Howard and Sons pyrotechnics, set to a rhythmic soundtrack that will end the evening with a bang.

Lithgow Mayor Maree Statham said “LithGlow is a celebration of the rich cultural traditions of our area. I look forward to welcoming locals and visitors to our family friendly event and showcasing our amazing community spirit”. On what to wear the Mayor said, “I encourage all people attending to dress in something bright that reflects the theme of ‘LithGlow’”.

Don’t forget the FREE shuttle buses will be operating between 4.45pm and 9.45pm, with pick up locations at multiple stops along main street, so park your car near Main Street in one of the many car parks and arrive at the event stress free as there is limited parking on site.
