The ever-popular LithGlow festival is just around the corner on Saturday 13th May 2023, and the event is bigger and better this year.

Get set to tantalise your tastebuds, rock your eardrums, and dance the night away at LithGlow 2023. Join Master of Ceremonies, Bryan Cutts, for an evening of great entertainment.

Aussie Night Markets return with their delicious international cuisine, prompt service and plenty of food for the whole family. Accompanying the food trucks are retail markets to browse and find something special. In addition to these two great features, LithGlow 2023 will include children’s rides to entertain the youngest members of the family. Unlimited ride wristbands will be available for purchase on the night at $30 each.

The feature entertainment at LithGlow 2023 will be provided by Ska-ramouche, playing their collection of popular songs with a ‘Ska’ twist that will have the crowd dancing, singing, and having fun. Supporting Ska-ramouche will be the talented musical artists from the Seven Valleys Live and Local program.

New for 2023 is the Glow Worm Parade. Attendees are encouraged to dress in glowing or high visibility gear and participate in the parade between the Blast Furnace and Lake Pillans. The Glow Worm Parade will commence after the opening ceremony which will take place at 6pm. There will be prizes to be won for the best glowing costumes.

Lake Pillans will feature magical lighting and otherworldly sounds from ‘Lounge Pantha’ as well as an animation by Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra Lithgow Transformation Hub, in addition to the lighting and effects around the Blast Furnace site.

Back by popular demand are the Howard and Son’s fire drums, adding atmosphere and warmth to the event.

The culmination of LithGlow 2023 will be the Energy Australia Fireworks, lighting up the sky above Lake Pillans and set to an up-tempo soundtrack.

Lithgow Mayor Maree Statham said “LithGlow is one of the signature events on the Seven Valleys calendar and I’m excited to see the new initiatives this year, especially the increased entertainment for children, and more community engagement. I would like to thank Energy Australia for their continued support of the event by sponsoring the fireworks.”

Transport is already organised for you, so park in one of the car parks near Main Street and catch the free shuttle to the event, dropping off at the bottom of the path to Blast Furnace Park on Inch Street. A service will be available to assist people unable to walk the short distance from Inch Street to Blast Furnace Park. Only limited onsite parking will be available, as well as accessible parking.

Lithglow 2023 is free to attend with no entry tickets required.
