Let it Glow and dance the night away
The Youth Council is an exciting opportunity for local young people, aged 12 – 18, to be a voice for Blue Mountains youth. Each Youth Council sets their own focus and this year’s Council have made improving activities and opportunities for young people one of their objectives.
The Let it Glow Dance Party will be held on Thursday 10 October, during the Spring school holidays, as a celebration of the end of winter and the return of warm mountain days.
Following their launch event, the Youth Council will hold a series of activities over the next nine months. They’ll focus on hosting a broad range of events to cater to the variety of interests of local youth, and to gauge their interest in social events. Examples of the kinds of activities Youth Council is exploring include a Dungeons & Dragons workshop and an art workshop.
All Youth Council events are safe events, and are alcohol, drug and vape free.
