“Anthropologists have found evidence of romantic love in 170 societies. They’ve never found a society that did not have it.”
- Helen fisher, The Brain in Love -

Created from anonymously submitted stories of love from around Australia – fragments and memories, confessions and admissions – I Want To Know What Love Is transforms these secret submissions into a marvellous centre-stage storyboard, showing at The Joan for just one night only on 6 April.

I Want To Know What Love Is throws a spotlight on long-buried memories, bedroom fantasies, crushes and conquests. It’s a joyous and exhilarating roller-coaster ride of emotions - perfect for a great night out enjoyed with both friends and loved ones.

Following sell out seasons at the Brisbane Festival in 2014, Brisbane Powerhouse’s Wonderland Festival in 2015, and a Melbourne season at Provocare Festival in 2017, this thrilling production is on national tour in 2019 and coming all the way to Penrith.

Joyous. Sexy. Heartbreaking. Take a dizzying ride through love’s collision course, and don’t miss out on what could’ve been.
