Have Your Say on the Hazelbrook Station Upgrade
The upgrade is being delivered through the NSW Government’s Transport Access Program, an initiative to deliver safe, modern and accessible public transport infrastructure across the state.
“We want to make sure that our less mobile customers, including those with a disability, the elderly, parents with prams and travellers with luggage, can easily access Hazelbrook Station and its facilities,” Mr Mallard said.
“The proposed work includes a new lift, accessible pedestrian pathways, two upgraded accessible parking spaces, a family accessible restroom, improved signage and CCTV.”
As part of the planning approval process, planning documents will be on public display from 22 November - 6 December. These can be viewed online, at Lawson Library or at the Blue Mountains City Council’s Katoomba and Springwood offices.
Transport for NSW will also be hosting an information stall at Hazelbrook Station between 4pm and 6pm on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 December to answer any questions from the community about the project.
Feedback can be provided in person at the stall, by email at or by mail to:

The NSW Government has invested more than $1 billion in the Transport Access Program since 2011. To date, more than 450 Transport Access Program projects are either completed or underway across the state.
This project builds on the work this government has done over the past few years including the accessibility upgrades of Leura, Penrith and Wentworth Falls Stations and current planned upgrades for Kingswood and Glenbrook Stations.
