Stuart Ayres MP, Member for Penrith today invited the community to have their say on the proposed accessibility upgrade at Kingswood Station.

As part of the planning approval process, the plans for the upgrade will be on public display from 16 - 30 November, 2018.

"The NSW Government is upgrading Kingswood Station as part of the Transport Access Program, an initiative to deliver safe, modern and accessible public transport infrastructure across the state," Stuart Ayres said.

"The proposed changes will deliver a station precinct that is accessible for our less mobile customers."

The proposal includes two new lifts, new pathways and a family accessible restroom.

New station entrances on the Great Western Highway and the corner of Park Avenue and Richmond Road are also proposed.

The NSW Government has invested more than $1 billion in the Transport Access Program since 2011. To date, more than 450 Transport Access Program projects are either completed or underway across the state.

This important project builds on the work this government has done over the past few years, including the accessibility upgrades of Penrith and Blacktown Stations and current planned upgrades for Rooty Hill, Glenbrook and Hazelbrook Stations.  Mount Druitt also benefited from a new multi-storey car park with approximately 220 additional spaces.

The plans for Kingswood Station can be viewed online or at Penrith City Library.

The project team will be hosting a pop-up stall at Kingswood Station between 4pm and 6pm on Monday 26 and Wednesday 28 November 2018 to answer any questions the community may have about the project.

Feedback can be given at the stall, by email or by mail.
