The Blue Mountains Max Adventure Race is happening on Saturday, 11th October 2025. The popular event will bring participants, families, and spectators to Euroka Clearing, Glenbrook for an exciting day of racing!

This event offers the perfect opportunity to explore the very best of Blue Mountains National Park. Kayak the calm waters of the Nepean River, run the wild mountain trails, and ride purpose-built mountain bike single tracks all in one event! Sounds pretty exciting right? Welcome to the sport of adventure racing!

What's Adventure Racing?
Adventure Racing is all about teamwork, and adventure. Teams of two people must work together, using a map to navigate around the course collecting checkpoints along the way. Teams will swap between trail running, mountain biking, and kayaking; race times range from 3-6 hours depending on the team's fitness levels and navigation choices!

The Blue Mountains Max Adventure Race is the last of five events which make up the 2025 Max Adventure Race Series, spanning QLD and NSW. It's going to be a very full day of adventure and family fun. There are various race options to suit all abilities and ages: the Novice Course is ideal for those new to the sport; the Classic Course is for teams looking for a longer challenge.

“Adventure racing isn’t about being the fastest or the fittest, it’s about teamwork, strategy and giving it a go.” said Race Director Mark Roberts. “The Blue Mountains is always a standout location thanks to its spectacular landscapes and the sense of adventure it inspires.”

So; are you inspired to sign up for a serious adventure this October? Head to the Max Adventure Race website here to find out more.
