Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba will host the Sound Advice Social with Music NSW on Friday 4 April.

Local musicians, festival producers and venue managers are invited to the free music industry gathering from 6pm to 8pm.

The informal Sound Advice Social – hosted by Music NSW’s Western Sydney Coordinator, Kelly Hellmrich – will offer an evening of music, conversation and connection. There will be light refreshments served in the Cultural Centre foyer.

“Music-making is an important part of our Blue Mountains community, and its identity as a City of the Arts,” Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill said.

“We have hundreds, if not thousands, of local musicians and industry professionals living and working here, each contributing to how we express ourselves and share ideas through performance, live events, and festivals. This event is for them.”

The Sound Advice Social is presented in partnership with Blue Mountains City Council’s Cultural Development Team to support dialogue and connectivity between local artists and music industry leaders, both established and emerging.

“Blue Mountains Cultural Centre is more than a gallery, café, and workshop rooms. It’s a gathering place and platform for creative community making,” said Council’s Arts and Culture Manager, Eric Holowacz.

“We host diverse creative development activities, amazing annual festivals, industry development sessions, and we are always looking for more ways to make life in the Blue Mountains even more creative, expressive, and connected.”

The Sound Advice Social event is free, but spaces are limited. To secure your spot and make the most of this opportunity to connect, contact Music NSW at kelly@musicnsw.com or register here.
