Journey through seven continents without leaving the Blue Mountains, simply by attending a music performance at three of the most world-renowned venues in the region from January 9 to 11.

Live World Music will play the Lilianfels Resort & Spa lounge from 5pm to 8pm Tuesday, January 9, the Wintergarden Restaurant at the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath from 6pm to 9pm Wednesday, January 10, and Echoes Restaurant Katoomba from 6pm to 9pm Thursday, January 11.

Guests can immerse themselves in an easy listening music journey through seven continents with various musical styles, including bossanova, jazz, soul and Cuban boleros over a sunset dinner with the magnificent Megalong Valley (at the Hydro Majestic) or Jamison Valley (Echoes Restaurant) as a backdrop.

The multicultural collection includes an Indonesian drummer, bass player from Argentina, percussionist (Cuba), two singers (one from the Netherlands, the other from Ghana) performing songs in five languages, guitarist (Italy), pianist (Australia) and saxophonist (Russia).

The international Playing for Change Foundation teaches music to children who live in disadvantaged areas throughout the world, especially in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Often such classes are children’s first formal experience of learning anything at all.

Guest services manager of Escarpment Group, which owns all the venues, Meagan Iervasi, said while entry to each performance was complimentary, dinner and beverages would be available to purchase and donations were welcome.

"Escarpment Group will make a donation to the group but your spare change could also make a real difference to the lives of many young artists in disadvantaged communities around the world.

"Travellers from around the world visit Lilianfels, Echoes and the Hydro Majestic every day and our staff teams are made up of people from across the globe so these performances are a way for us to celebrate our shared international heritage."

Dinner bookings: hydromajestic.com.au, echoeshotel.com.au/dining or Lilianfels.com.au/dining/the-lounge.
