Do You Work With Any Young People into Dance, Music or Hip-Hop?

By Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD)
Archived 26 Sep 2018 - Posted: 29 Jul 2018
MMAD have just recently launched MMADness for the second half of 2018 and are calling for any young people who would benefit from being in a creative, supportive and positive environment in our Music, Dance and Mentoring programs.

Sound Foundations:
Spaces are filling fast in the Sound Foundations Music and Mentoring program, (held in Penrith, Surry Hills and Parramatta) from 3:30pm - 5:30pm across the School Term. They will be running a 10 week studio course and mentoring where participants will learn the basics in songwriting, production, studio and performance skills.

Sony STAR 6 Month Mentoring Program:
Applications are open for the STAR program (held Nationally) for the second half of 2018. Together MMAD and The Sony Foundation are looking for 10 young people to be mentored over the 6 months and find their voice.

If you know of a young person who would benefit from any of these programs please feel free to give Sound Foundation a call or send them directly to the online registration form.

About MMAD:
Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD) Inc is an Australian charity that exists to change young lives through music. MMAD uses the power of music, dance & mentoring to inspire young people to make their lives remarkable.

MMAD provide creative support to young people, (especially those who have suffered emotional abuse, neglect and disadvantage) in overcoming challenges such as homelessness, destructive patterns of behaviour, exclusion from school, family breakdown, drug and alcohol dependency, unemployment and reoffending.

MMAD's goal is not only to break negative cycles, but to empower these young people to go on and make their own difference within the community.
