Dino Aquarium opens at Scenic World – A prehistoric first at Australia’s biggest dinosaur experience

Dinosaur Valley has returned for a new season at Scenic World with a first of its kind Dino Aquarium – Dinosaur Valley’s most spectacular addition yet.

In an all-new experience, visitors can step inside a prehistoric world where mighty marine reptiles ruled the ancient seas.

During this season of the family favourite event, visitors can expect an exciting new adventure alongside returning crowd favourites:

What’s new in 2025

  • The Dino Aquarium – peek into an ancient world in this immersive experience exclusive to Scenic World.
  • The Dinosaur Valley Passport – kids will go on a globetrotting adventure to learn which species ruled which continent and become a certified Junior Ranger.
  • Even more dinosaurs – over 60 dinosaurs and 33 different species across land and sea including T-Rex, Kronosaurus,Plesiosaurus,Velociraptors, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus and plenty more!

Returning favourites

  • Andy Day is back – the Super Dino Fan returns with fun facts to find via audio buttons and videos.
  • Meet and greets with Dino Rangers – plus this season’s dinosaur hatchlings.
  • Junior Ranger Kits – the perfect take-home for budding palaeontologists (sold separately).
  • The Dino Diner – serving dino-sized feasts to satisfy post-adventure appetites.

  • Dates: Every day until 26 January 2026
  • Tickets: Dinosaur Valley is included with all Scenic World tickets (adults from $61; kids from $40.20 – kids under 3 go free!)
  • Location: Scenic World, Katoomba, Blue Mountains (only 90 minutes from Sydney)

Dinosaur Valley continues to be one of Scenic World’s most loved events. With the opening of the Dino Aquarium and a reimagined dinosaur trail, Australia’s biggest dinosaur experience promises to capture imaginations like never before.

On your Dinosaur Valley adventure, you’ll ride the world’s steepest railway, soar above the rainforest on the Skyway, and glide along sandstone cliffs on the Cableway.
