Award-winning creative industries expert Monica Davidson is coming to Lithgow to run a day of workshops and events in partnership with Lithgow City Council and NSW Business Connect.

“I welcome the growth of creative businesses in the Lithgow LGA,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor, Stephen Lesslie.  “These workshops are part of Lithgow City Council’s progressive response to growing the local economy.  Everyone deserves the opportunity to work in a field that they’re passionate about, and these workshops give local residents tools to help them drive their small business.”

Creative Plus Business is heading to the Central West in partnership with Lithgow City Council and NSW Business Connect to support creative small business in the region. Monica Davidson, creative industries expert and award-winning presenter, will be facilitating two workshops on Thursday 26th July at the University of Western Sydney campus.

“We’re very excited to bring our Creative Industries Roadshow to Lithgow for the first time,” said Monica. “Business Connect allows us to provide workshops and events like these for a low cost to regional areas, and we can refer creative people to free business advice as well.”

NSW Business Connect is a dedicated and personalised NSW Government program that provides trusted advice to help people start or grow a small business. Creative Plus Business provides specialist advisory services to creative industries practitioners across the state, working in partnership with other providers in regional areas.

The creative industries in NSW include visual art and crafts, music, performing arts and acting, writing and publishing, screen and radio production, architecture, and design in all its forms.

“The creative industries in NSW are growing, and more and more regional practitioners want to know about the basics of business and marketing. Our workshops can help people to learn the fundamentals in a fun and practical way, in an environment where they are encouraged to get to know each other and make connections.” said Monica.

Tickets to the workshops are only $25+ booking fee
