Council’s Round 2 of Financial Assistance Opens 2 October 2017

Source: Lithgow City Council
Archived 28 Nov 2017 - Posted: 2 Oct 2017
Applications are now being sought from not-for-profit organisations to fund local community projects and activities under Council’s Financial Assistance Program.

Council is encouraging local community organisations to apply for funding under the second round for 2017/18 of Council’s Financial Assistance Program. The program offers grants of up to $3,000 to community organisations to help them with local projects and activities that demonstrate a broad community benefit.

Some examples of Financial Assistance requests that Council may assist with include:

  • Youth projects and events
  • Projects that support families and children
  • Initiatives that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People
  • Cultural activities
  • Program costs for local services or events

Each year Council allocates funding to a number of worthwhile community groups for programs, services and events that strengthen and enrich our community and increase community participation. Applications for Round 2 2017/18 close on 31 October 2017.

All requests for Financial Assistance must be on the official Financial Assistance Application Form.

Application forms and guidelines can be obtained by visiting Council’s website or they can be picked up from Council’s Administration Centre and Library branches in Lithgow, Wallerawang and Portland, or by contacting Council to have one sent by post.

For further information please contact Council’s Community Development Officers, Viktoria Gulabovski or Kristy Lenon on 6354 9999.
