Council supports small business with FREE Single Touch Payroll training
Feedback to Council from the Mayoral Reference Group, and discussions with chambers of commerce and village associations, identified training as one of the ways Council can support small businesses in creating a sustainable and successful local economy.
Blue Mountains small business employers, with less than 20 employees, are invited to attend the training sessions to be held in Springwood and Katoomba later this month. There is an introductory training session and a more advanced reporting training session.
"The introductory training sessions will help you understand how your payroll tax and super reporting obligations, as an employer, will be streamlined using Single Touch Payroll," Mayor Mark Greenhill said.
"You will also find out more about the options and concessions available to small business employers to report payments such as salaries, wages, tax withheld and superannuation each time you pay your workers."
From 30 September 2019, all small businesses that employ staff are required to report via Single Touch Payroll.
All training sessions are free but numbers are limited, so registration is essential. There may also be spaces available on the day if you decide after the first training you'd like to proceed with the second training, but this is subject to availability. Click here to book.
