Council seeks community feedback on Sublime Point Road pathway
The proposed pathway aims to enhance safety and accessibility for walkers and riders in the area by providing a connection between Watkins Road, Carleton Road and Sublime Point Lookout.
The initiative also forms part of the broader Grand Cliff Top Walk project, a collaboration between Council and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, to provide a continuous walking experience from Wentworth Falls to Katoomba.
Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill said, “This pathway is about creating safer, more accessible routes for residents and visitors alike, while respecting the unique environmental values of the Blue Mountains.
“The Active Transport Links program means that people of all ages, including children and the elderly will have more opportunities to explore and enjoy our streets together.”
The concept options have been developed following early consultation with residents and community groups.
The Sublime Point Road pathway is part of the Blue Mountains Active Transport Links Program, which aims to improve our streets with safe and sustainable links between key destinations and towns across the Blue Mountains.
The program identifies priority projects across the Blue Mountains and aims to deliver more than 30km of new active transport infrastructure for the city.
The project is proudly funded by the NSW Government, through the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants program.
To register for project updates, view the preferred concept option, and provide your feedback before 9am Monday 25 August, visit Council’s Have Your Say platform:here
