Council Gives Thumbs Up to Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy

Mayor, Cr Mark Greenhill said, “Waste avoidance and resource recovery are significant issues for all communities and councils.
"By working together we are better able to deliver innovative initiatives to deal with problem household waste, reducing illegal dumping and littering.”
The overall direction proposed by the plan provides a supportive structure for Council’s own waste avoidance and resource recovery strategic plan. By fulfilling their own plan they will be contributing to the regional outcomes.
The NSW EPA, through its Waste Less, Recycle More initiative funded the Western Sydney Region of Councils to develop the regional waste strategy to outline future directions for resource recovery across the region.
