Contribution to Wallerawang & Portland Skate Parks
Lithgow Mayor and Councillors were out in force today to welcome and thank the NSW Government following the announcement via Local Member, Paul Toole, that $400,000 would be contributed to the construction of the Portland and Wallerawang Skate Parks.
“The pressure is already on from our young skating enthusiasts here today who have already bailed up Council’s General Manager wanting to know how long the skate parks will take to build ….and we will be doing our best to move as quickly as we can” said Mayor Ray Thompson.
Clrs Maree Statham, Darryl Goodwin, Deanna Goodsell and Steve Ring joined with the Mayor and community members present in thanking Paul Toole for his efforts, noting the importance of the projects to the communities of both Wallerawang and Portland.
