Come Join the Ukulele FUN!
“Music is such a positive thing for our community, it brings people together and has proven physical and mental health benefits. I look forward to hearing the new group playing in and around the Portland community,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Stephen Lesslie.
The new group will meet at the Portland library branch on the last Saturday of each month at 10.30am to learn basic chords and simple songs to sing together.
Anyone is welcome to come along to watch, join in the singing or pick up a uke and strum along.
There will be some ukuleles available to use at the library or you can bring your own. No bookings are required, just come along and enjoy this free opportunity.
Please contact Portland Library on 6355 5355 for more information.
