Blue Mountains City Council has celebrated the achievements of local businesses at the 2024 Local Business Awards

Council is a Major Partner of the Local Business Awards, and a sponsor of the Sustainability Award, which recognises the achievements of local businesses undertaking sustainable practices that contribute to a diverse, robust and environmentally friendly local economy.

Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill said, “The award builds on Council’s commitment to achieving an economically sustainable eco-City, and our long history of promoting sustainability and helping to protect the unique environment we call home.

“Council has been proud to celebrate another dynamic year in the Blue Mountains business community, and I congratulate all those who have enriched our community through their business endeavours.

“As a Council, we recognise that supporting local business is critical to our community.

“Council is committed to economic development in the Blue Mountains. We want a strong, diversified and sustainable economy with increased employment, education and learning opportunities.

“We welcome visitors to our City and strive to be a leader in sustainable tourism and destination management.”
