Celebrating 40 Years of Serving the Community
Everyone is invited to the forecourt of “The Hub” at 108 Macquarie Road to enjoy the entertainment, BBQ, coffee cart with cookies, jumping castle for kids, craft, face painting, dancers, music, information stalls, physical fitness class demonstrations and more.
SNCC is a part of many people’s lives – from children attending Tanderra OOSH, emergency food packages for people experiencing hardship, or older clients enjoying a weekly visit from one of our amazing volunteers, to school children and families continuing the annual tradition of decorating the village Manners Park tree each Christmas.
SNCC is supported by over 100 volunteers who provide practical help to the Centre. Volunteers facilitate activity classes and diverse social groups and link members of our community, always striving to strengthen a vibrant, caring and inclusive community.
SNCC partners with many organisations to promote activities which feed the mind, our curiosity and creativity – such as Science At The Local, Bug Club, Timebanking, Live At The Village, Shine Choir and the Acoustic Club which all have their own significant following.
Our Centre is in the Blue Mountains Theatre & Community Hub building where you are always welcome to drop in for a cuppa and chat or check out the latest newspapers and community information on display, use the Wifi, public access computers and find out how you can be connected with your community.
SNCC is grateful to its local community and businesses for their continued support and to all of those people who continue to support it and have done so for the past 40 years. We look forward to catching up with you on Sunday 17 September 2017 between 10am and 2pm. All activities are free and all are welcome.
