Progress to Date
The Bushfire Cleanup contractor (Laing O’Rourke) has confirmed that they currently have 154 properties registered for the free clean-up program in the Lithgow LGA. As at Thursday last week, 62 had been fully cleared of debris and hazardous material. The focus of the cleanup to date has been on the Dargan and Clarence localities with the majority of properties cleared from these areas. Over the last week they have also commenced works on properties on the outskirts of the Lithgow LGA.
There is Still Time to Register for the Cleanup
For anyone impacted by the bushfires who hasn’t yet registered for the cleanup there is still time to do so however you need to ‘opt in’ to the clean-up program and register your property. You can do this online by heading to: Service NSW or call Service NSW on 13 77 88. If you're not able to register through Service NSW, Laing O’Rourke will help with your registration directly, when they are on the ground in your location. If you registered with Public Works Advisory (PWA) last year, your details will be passed on to Laing O’Rourke. You do not need to register again with Service NSW.
