Books & Bites – Lightening Talks

Source: Lithgow City Council

To celebrate our first Books & Bites Book Club title, Lithgow Library will be hosting lightening talks just to give the audience a taste of “Thirty Thousand Bottles of Wine and a Pig called Helga”. The community is invited to come and enjoy this delightful tale of the not so perfect tree change.

Thirty Thousand Bottles of Wine and a Pig called Helga is a great story for anybody who has ever dared to pursue their dreams and celebrate the milestones in life’s journey. Lithgow Library has made this title available in multiple formats for your access and enjoyment.

The lightening talks will start at 1:00 pm on Wednesday 9 October 2019, followed by RBdigital training with Malcolm O’Brien, from Wavesound, and light refreshments.

RBdigital is the Library’s  supplier for eBooks, eAudios & eMagazines. RBdigital is compatible with all popular listening devices, and mobile apps are available for iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire devices. RB Digital also features an easy-to-use interface with streamlined navigation, fast downloads, and automatic software updates.

To get started with RBdigital head to the Library website and follow the links to RBdigital.  You will need to be a member of the Library to access the resources, so if you aren’t currently a member drop into any of the branches at Lithgow, Portland or Wallerawang to join.  Membership is free and is open to all residents of the Lithgow Council area. For more information contact the Lithgow Library on 63529100.
