Blue Mountains Regional Autumn Gardens

The Blue Mountains Region is famous for its magnificent cool climate exotic gardens, which are currently ablaze with Autumn colour.

Throughout the Blue Mountains there is a wide array of stunning gardens just waiting to explore, including:

Gardens are privately owned and therefore opening times and days are at the discretion of the owner.


Everglades Gardens

Everglades Ave, Leura

Australia's most spectacular garden for all seasons.

This 1930s treasure unites European romanticism with the raw magic of the Australian bush. Five hectares of valley views, bluebell woodland, lawned and flowering terraces, stone walls, winding paths, glades, pools, and fountains.

Art deco house, gift shop, tea rooms, art gallery, picnic spots. Wedding and function hire. Seasonal programme of events.

Campbell Rhododendron Gardens

Bacchante Street, Blackheath

The Campbell Rhododendron Gardens at Blackheath, about 120 kilometres west of Sydney, cover an area of 18.3 hectares and comprise both exotic plantings of rhododendrons, azaleas, maples and other deciduous trees and pristine native bushland.

Open: Daily 9am to 4pm

Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens

Bells Line Road, Mt Tomah

Sitting at 1,000m above sea level, this 252 hectare garden is Australia’s highest botanic Garden and home to a world class collection of plants from the cooler southern hemisphere. The Garden features a world class collection of cool climate plants grouped according to their geographical origin.

Open: Mon-Fri: 9:am to 5:30pm / Sat-Sun: 9:30am to 5:30pm

Windyridge Garden

Queens Avenue, Mt Wilson

Windyridge Gardens is an open garden located in the historical garden village of Mt Wilson, the garden features cool climate plants and water features.

Open: Daily 8am to 5pm

Entry: $10 Adult / $3 Child. Price includes tea, coffee and biscuits. Picnickers welcome

Breenhold Gardens

The Avenue, Mt Wilson

The heritage listed Breenhold Gardens at Mount Wilson is one of the most extensive privately owned garden properties in Australia.

Open: 10am to 4pm. Weekdays 4 April to 27 May and Weekends 16 April to 21 May (Easter & Anzac Day included)

Entry: $8 Adult / $2 Child over 12 / Child under 12 FREE

Nooroo

Church Lane, Mt Wilson

Nooroo Garden, Mt Wilson was established in 1880. Nooroo is a cold climate garden with a wide variety of European and native plants for visitors to enjoy.

Open: Daily from 2 April to 29 May. 10am to 4pm.

Entry: $8 Adult / $2 Child under 16 years

Open for groups (10+) by arrangement any time

Mayfield Gardens

570 Mayfield Road, Oberon

Mayfield Gardens began to take shape in the mid-1990′s and today is one of the world’s largest privately owned cool climate gardens. Numerous follies and features are blended into the landscape: the breath-taking 80metre cascade, the walled kitchen garden; the stunning tourist destination the Water Garden; the aviary, chapel, rose garden and Islamic style pond and much, much more.

Open: Saturday 16 April to Sunday 1 May (except ANZAC Day). 9am to 4:30pm.

Water Garden Entry: $10 Adult / $5 Child over 6 years /Child aged 0-6 years FREE / $25 Family

Mayfield Garden Entry: $25 Adult / $10 Child over 6 years / Child aged 0-6 years FREE / $65 Family
