Blue Mountains Portraits 2025 celebrates Mountains community through art

Running from 15 February to 13 April 2025, this beloved showcase brings together more than 40 artists portraying the people of the Blue Mountains through a range of artistic styles and media.
The exhibition features a dynamic selection of portraits created in painting, photography, drawing, collage, mixed media, and sculpture.
In addition to the works of 37 selected artists, contributions from eight local schools highlight the creativity of emerging young artists and foster a deeper connection to the community from an early age.
Mayor Mark Greenhill, “The breadth of artists, subjects and media on display aptly reflects the diversity of our Blue Mountains community and the depth of talent and creativity that thrives in our region.
“Blue Mountains Portraits is one of our community's most-loved cultural events and I congratulate all the artists selected for exhibition.
“I invite everyone to experience this imaginative showcase and discover why our Blue Mountains community and environment is so unique.”
Visitors to Blue Mountains Portraits 2025 will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite works in thePeople’s Choice Award and Student’s People’s Choice Award. The artists with the most votes will be awarded $1000 and $250, respectively.
