Blue Mountains National Park - Furber Steps Helicopter Operations & Track Maintenance

Temporary closure of Furber Steps and section of Federal Pass on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th April 2019.
Please see notification and map for the temporary closure of Furber Steps and section of Federal Pass on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th April 2019.

National Parks & Wildlife Service advise that on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th April, 2019  the following areas will be closed to allow helicopter to lift in materials for walking track repairs:

CLOSED:

  • Furber Steps
  • Federal Pass below Three Sisters from junction with Dardanelles Pass to Scenic Railway
  • Track between Katoomba Cascades and Reid’s Plateau
  • Reid’s Plateau
  • Round Walk
  • Vaniman’s Lookout

OPEN:

  • Prince Henry Cliff Walk
  • Federal Pass: towards Ruined Castle from Scenic Railway
  • Federal Pass: from below Three Sisters to Leura Forest
  • Dardanelles Pass

Furber Steps - ongoing track maintenance.

National Parks & Wildlife Service advise that from Friday 12th April to Sunday 30th June, 2019 the following areas will be closed for walking track repairs:

Furber Steps from below the Round Walk to Federal Pass Junction

Round Walk
