Blue Mountains Historical Society’s 19th Century Cottage Museum Tarella Open Day

On Sunday 28 April, 2019, the Blue Mountains Historical Society’s 19th century cottage museum, Tarella, at Wentworth Falls, will be open for viewing.

The current exhibition in the Sun Room Gallery, An Aerial Disaster for John Britty North, has been held over for another month, due to popular demand. This will be your last chance to view in one place the artefacts related to the collapse of the Bleichert Aerial Ropeway at Katoomba in late 1889 or January 1890. These exhibits are from the Private Collection of Philip Hammon.

The Florence Evelyn Moore Collection is still on display in various rooms throughout the cottage so you must not miss any of these items.

A fine day will ensure our ever-popular garden stall is open.

Devonshire teas and soup are available in the Research Centre Kitchen for a small charge.

Picnic in our spacious grounds – hot water freely available from our Kitchen in the Research Centre.

Entry charges to Tarella are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children. Entry to the exhibition is free with entry to Tarella. Please note that we can only accept cash; we have no card facilities.
