Australian Defence Force senior officers together with NSW State Government officials landed in Lithgow via MRH 90 Taipan helicopter on Thursday 30th January 2020 to meet Lithgow’s Mayor Ray Thompson, Deputy Mayor Steve Ring and Lithgow’s Local Emergency Operations Controller Chief Inspector Chris Sammut as part of the ongoing support to the Lithgow Community.

Iconic performer and songwriter Stephen Cummings took his bow to Australian audiences during his farewell tour at the start of 2019. Cummings was supposed to have retired after he finished touring his album, ‘Prisoner of Love’, but he grew bored of the down time and decided to perform a limited number of acoustic shows from February to May 2020.
