$10K for Mid Mountains Men’s Shed
The Mid Mountains Men’s Shed will benefit from a $10,000 grant to help purchase equipment and new materials for the vital community group.
“Men’s Sheds provide a safe, friendly and supportive environment and companionship for their members by working on meaningful projects for the community,” Ms Richards said.
“Men's Sheds encourage and promote positive social interaction amongst members by providing cooperative and supportive workshop practices, meetings, get-togethers and other social activities.”
Senator for New South Wales Marise Payne said the Men’s Shed program helped older Australian men stay active and engaged in the community.
“The Men’s Shed movement has developed into a powerful tool to address social isolation which can occur to older Australian men,” Senator Payne said.
A re-elected Morrison Government is able to prioritise such valuable community groups through delivering a strong economy and budget surplus.
