Kurrara Guest House
An Original 1902 Katoomba Guest House
Kurrara is an original Katoomba guest house, established in 1902. Run by the proprietress, Mrs A F Wilkins with a bustling manner, and an air of efficiency. She ran 'a first class establishment'! For the princely sum of six shillings you could stay for one night. An ambitious plan of refurbishment was launched when the current owners purchased Kurrara in 2012, and today the house is filled with genuine antiques and decorated with beautiful textiles.
Guests can choose from eight rooms. Three large downstairs spa suites have 4-poster beds, and are individually decorated. As expected they are well appointed with all modern conveniences, and two of the suites have their own private dining facilities.
Our five upstairs rooms all have shower en suites raked ceilings, and windows overlooking our gardens. All rooms are individually decorated and have been completely refurbished. New eco-beds are featured in all rooms.
We have two guest lounges with Victorian gas log fires, where guests can sit and relax in our leather chesterfields, drink tea from our vast selection, and chat with new friends. Our large DVD library caters for all tastes, and there are hundreds of books to read, traditional boardgames and chess.
Our daily tariff includes an extensive continental breakfast of fresh local produce, afternoon tea and cake, and all the modern conveniences you would expect from a quality establishment. For more information please visit our website, where you can book direct, and select our 'welcome pack'
