We are part of the international ‘slow town’ movement (240 towns in 35 countries) - "where people are still curious about times past; towns rich in theatres, squares, cafes, workshops, restaurants, spiritual places - with untouched landscapes, fascinating craftsmen; where people are still aware of the slow passing of the seasons." Our town was awarded a unique 2017 ‘World Slowness Award’ in Jeonju (South Korea) for developing our quality of place and enviable sustainable lifestyle.
