A stay at Wybalena Cottage does indeed offer a respite from the stress of city life. Warm, comfortable and cosy is the ambiance. The high, pressed metal ceilings, the half timber panelled walls, the polished wood floors, the abundance of interesting curios, all add to the old world feeling and charm of the cottage to extend a welcome to the visitor.

The cottage features three bedrooms, two of which are furnished with queen sized beds with luxurious, pillow top mattresses. The third bedroom has two single beds. There are electric blankets, room heaters and doonas in every bedroom for those cool mountain evenings.The lounge room features a log combustion fire as well as reverse cycle air conditioning. Stay at homes can watch TV or DVD's in front of a roaring fire whilst relaxing in Moran leather chairs. Displayed around the walls of the lounge is a fascinating collection of historic photographs taken during the 1880?s by pioneer photographer, Frank Sutcliffe. The huge dining room houses a ten seat dining table for those family, or friends gatherings for convivial lunches or dinners, which the well equipped kitchen is able to cater for.A small sun room/reading room is sited off the dining room. Guests can quietly settle into the rocking chair with a good book and forget the cares of the world.The kitchen is equipped with every convenience including a large double stove, a microwave oven, dishwasher and double sink. The eat-in area off the kitchen houses a large fridge/freezer. An interesting old black iron fireplace occupies the opposing wall from the breakfast bar.

A laundry with washing machine, vented tumble dryer and Robin ironing centre is located beyond the eat-in kitchen area.

Wybalena has two bathrooms, one with a spa bath. Both bathrooms have toilets and showers.

Car accommodation comprises of a single garage plus off street parking for an additional two or three cars.

Wybalena is within easy walking distance (300 metres) of two of Katoomba?s best restaurants and is located between Echo Point and Katoomba shops.

High quality linen and luxurious towels are provided for our visitors, as are gourmet teas and a selection of plunger coffees.
