The Summer House at 90 Fletcher Street, Wentworth Falls takes its name from the old cottage formerly on the site. The old house was built in the early 1900s, apparently so that its owners could escape Sydney's summertime humidity (which is still a nice thing to do).

Deborah and Kerry Bennett loved their fibro cottage, but it was falling down. In its place they have built an imaginatively-designed holiday house which gives them and their family huge pleasure and which is available for short lettings.

Deborah's painting of the old house hangs in the new house.

The Summer House is close to all of the good things offered by the upper Blue Mountains. On the south, its back fence is the border of the Blue Mountains National Park. Its view south down the Jamison Valley is magnificent. Next door is NPWS's Conservation Hut, with its daytime information and cafe services. Walks along the escarpment and down into the valley have starting points at the Conservation Hut.

Wentworth Falls township is a few minutes away by car, Leura five minutes and Katoomba ten. With an informed eye you can see the house from the 16th tee at Leura golf course.

The house has a large central room with big south-facing windows to take in the view.
