Springwood Public School is a welcoming friendly school community for your child. If you are enrolling a child in 2009 come and visit.
Some recent achievements: A year four student won the Regional Multicultural Public Speaking Competition. A year one student won the National Naidoc Week Art competition. Commencement of the K-6 Mandarin program. Our band placed third in the City of Penrith Eisteddfod. Four senior students won the Literacy and Numeracy week multi media award. A year six student won the Local Public speaking competition. Two of our students won places at the state athletics competition. Our Years Three and Five students achieved high results in the National Assessment Tests.
In November all the children enrolling in Kindergarten 2009 will be invited to attend three visits to school where they will spend time, in class, with the Kindergarten teachers and thier big buddy. While your child is engaged in the classroom you will hear from Mr Wilson how to help your child with early Literacy and Numeracy development, buy uniform and generally get to know the school personnel. To be included in this program your child will need to be enrolled.
