Next week the men play for one of our oldest trophies dating back to the 1920s…The Summer Cup which is a Scratch Vs Par event sponsored by Martin Green.

BLACKHEATH MEN…Wednesday 4th January was Midweek time again at the Mountain’s PREMIER golf course. The winner of the Single Stableford was Graham Dowdell (11) withy 43 points winning a $60 voucher ahead of Leonay visitor, C.King (19) with 41 points winning a $30 voucher. The 2 Ball went to Graham Dowdell (11) and Trevor Thomas (6) with 45 points on a countback winning a $30 voucher each. Nearest the pin on the 5th went to Tristan Schwartz at 178 cms and on the 17th to J.Bennett at 102 cms and balls went to 31 point on a countback. Remember for a crack at our pristine fairways and great greens call Dave on 47875643.

SATURDAY 7th January….was a “Trial” event Short Course Championship played as a Single Stableford over a shortened course. The winner of the Scratch event was Ian Evans (8) with 31 points on a countback from course Super, Luke Skinner also on 31 points. The handicap winner was Tristan Schwartz (17) with 44 points on a countback from Garry Way (16) also on 44 points. Nearest the pin on the 2nd went to Matt Hill at 238 cms, on the 5th to Stuart Brown at 52 cms, on the 7th to G.Nixon at 52 cms, on the 13th to bruce Ranse at 311 cms, on the 14th to Garry Edser at 134 cms and on the 17th to Stuart Brown at 214 cms with the Propin jackpotting to next week. Balls went to 37 points on a countback. We welcomed visitors from Pymble, wentworth Falls, Wakehurst, Highlands, Leura and Lithgow.
