| Springtime is magnificent at Blackheath and each year the local residents celebrate the occasion with the colourful and spectacular Rhododendron Festival. The festival Committee over the years has raised considerable amounts of money, which has been invested back into the local community. Whilst you visit Blackheath (the highest town in the Blue Mountains at 1060 Metres above Sea Level) don't forget a visit to the Bacchante Rhododendron Gardens & Govetts Leap Lookout - dine at the many and varied eating establishments - and remember your stay - most of all please drive home safety.
