How To Get Here..
Driving from Sydney, simply head west along the M4 Motorway. The motorway becomes The Great Western Highway at the Nepean River near Penrith. Most of the interesting and historic towns of the Blue Mountains follow this highway in one long line. At the bottom is the town of Glenbrook. Look out for the Tourist Information Centre on your left. Here you can collect maps, walking guides and tourist information and there is a good selection of lunch and coffee shops in the town itself. From here it's a one hour drive to Blackheath. Near the top you'll come to Leura (another nice shopping, lunch and coffee spot) then Katoomba (Three Sisters and Scenic Railway) and then Medlow Bath (with the famous Hydro Majestic Hotel on your left). After about 3kms past the traffic light at Medlow Bath, start looking for the Evans Lookout Rd turnoff on your right (or 1km past the town of Blackheath if travelling from the West). It is well signposted and there is a cottage covered in brightly painted murals on the corner. Exactly 2kms down Evans Lookout Rd is 176. Look for the reflective bower bird sign on the left.
