Blue Mountains JobShop Expo 2016
JobShop is a mini employment, skills and careers expo that offers a one-stop-shop for information to help you gain employment. Find out what jobs are currently available; learn what employers are looking for and how to successfully apply for their jobs.
The Blue Mountains Jobshop is a free event open to anyone looking for a job or a career. It is a great opportunity to learn how to apply for current and future jobs, apprenticeships and traineeships and how to get the training you need to get a job in the Blue Mountains.
JobShop provides the opportunity to talk to representatives from a range of industries and major employers in the Blue Mountains, including defence, local government, aged and child care, retail and tourism.
Meet employers who are recruiting right now, such as Australian Defence Force, Blue Mountains City Council, Woolworths, Coles, Fairmont Resort, Oasis Horticulture, and many more.
Speak to education organisations such as TAFE, as well as support organisations that can assist those who are unemployed or people with disabilities in gaining employment, such as Max Employment, Nova and others who will present on the day.
Mayor, Cr Mark Greenhill, said, “The JobShop expo is a fantastic opportunity for local residents to meet face to face with local employers, training organisations, educational institutions and employment support services all under the one roof.
Blue Mountains City Council is proud to support the JobShop event”.
