We have a wide range of Tools uniquely suited to the Model Ship Builder. These include drills, cutting tools, saws, hand and electric plank benders, specialist vices, glues, paints and paint brushes and a mini lathe, jigsaw and planer.

We have a range of DVDs and instruction leaflets to provide an introduction to the modeller on techniques and approaches to building a period model ship. Each provides wise advice and guidance based on the knowledge of experienced modellers.

Modellers Shipyard is the only manufacturer of historic wooden model ships in Australia. We specialise in Australian colonial historical model ships. We currently manufacture The Colonial Schooner Port Jackson, HM Cutter Mermaid, Colonial Sloop Norfolk (December 2009 release), HMS Sirius (Mid 2010) and Colonial Brig Perseverance (Late 2010).
Our Australian Colonial Series model ship kits, cater for a range of modeller ability. Our comprehensive English instructions combined with instructional DVDs provide for a second to none building experience for the modeller.
We are continually expanding our range of models and other products. Our models are double plank on bulk head constructions with laser cut plywood. The kits come complete with all timber, rigging cord, and wooden and metal fittings. All parts and fittings are of the highest quality. Our models come complete with comprehensive English instructions, detailed photographs and diagrams.
We also have available instructional DVDs that cover the planking of both bluff bow vessels and sharp bow vessels. Other DVDs available specifically address the complete construction of each of our model kits.
