At Lakeview we offer couples and families BUDGET PRICED accommodation facilities consisting of eleven cabins, a two bedroom cottage and a four bedroom house in a three acre bushland holiday setting.

Lakeview is located in a QUIET area only 3 blocks (a 5 minute walk) from the Blackheath shopping centre and railway station.

Opposite Lakeview is a 40 acre Park which contains free swimming pools (Olympic, toddlers and junior), rows and rows of magnificent Rhododendron bushes which flower from mid October to early November each year plus a Duck Pond where the children can feed bread to the ducks. Lakeview is located within minutes of the Blue Mountains National Park with easy access to bushwalks, lookouts and waterfalls, as well as the major tourist attractions in the Blue Mountains and surrounding districts. Lakeview is also only minutes from the Blue Mountains National Park Heritage Centre at Govetts Leap where, from the Lookout, you can obtain superb views of the spectacular Grose Valley. (Charles Darwin in 1835 described the Grose as one of the most spectacular chasms he had seen on his voyage around the world in the H.M.S. Beagle).

ACCOMMODATION

Seven x 4 berth Cabins.
	Each cabin has a separate bedroom with a double bed (with electric blanket) and single bed and a bed/sitter in the kitchen/living area.
	All beds have a mattress protector, doona and a pillow. There are six single size blankets in each cabin (Please bring your own double blankets).
	The kitchen has a large electric stove with oven, microwave, fridge, tables & chairs, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, electric kettle and a toaster.
	All cabins have their own bathroom with a bath, shower and a toilet.
	Each cabin has a small open verandah facing North which captures the winter sunshine.
	Electric wall heaters are located in both the kitchen and bedroom.
	A TV antenna for your own television set or you can hire a portable coloured set for only $5 a night.

2 Bedroom Older Style Cottage
	Accommodates up to 7 people
	Verandahs on the both sides of the building overlooking bushland.
	Separate kitchen (electric stove & microwave oven), lounge room with TV plus a slow combustion wood fire (wood supplied free).
	One bedroom has one double & one single bed and the other bedroom has one double & two single beds.
	Electric heater in both bedrooms and the lounge room.
	Bathroom with a bath, shower and a toilet.

4 Bedroom House
	Accommodates a maximum of 8 people.
	Separate kitchen - electric stove and microwave oven, dining room and lounge room with TV
	Gas heater plus a spare electric heater.
	Two bedrooms contain double beds with electric blankets and doonas, one bedroom has a double bunk and the fourth bedroom has two single beds.
	A bathroom with a bath, separate shower and toilet plus a separate indoor toilet near the second bedroom.

FACILITIES

An undercover BBQ area with a free electric BBQ and lights for night time use.

Next to the BBQ area is a young children's playground, with swings, round-about, a running drum, Yogi see-saw, a four bike circular ride, a sand pit with two little Aussie Diggers.

For the older children we have a Games room with table tennis, a kelly pool table for adults only, and various pinball machines.

A LAUNDRY with a coin operated washing machine plus dryer. Two single dollars are needed for each machine - washing powder is supplied.

WHAT TO BRING

It is necessary to bring your own linen (sheets, pillowslips, double bed blankets and towels) or sleeping bags.

DIRECTIONS

Driving from Sydney via the Great Western Highway, Blackheath is only a 10 minute drive west of Katoomba. At the Blackheath shopping centre turn right at the traffic lights (Govetts Leap Road) and then left at the third cross street (Prince Edward Street). Look for the Lakeview sign 100 metres down the road on the right hand side. The office is just inside the entrance.

BOOKINGS

Bookings can be confirmed by PHONE by using Bankcard, MasterCard or Visa or by sending a 50% deposit cheque or money order - the balance is to be paid on arrival.

Booking, in time is from 1pm. Booking out time is by 10am on the day of departure. You are welcome to stay on until 6pm by paying for an extra half day.

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted (guide dogs accepted).

	Exactly the same as above except they have a small enclosed verandah with a double bunk for the kids. These cabins are affordably priced for a family of six.
