The Society regularly mounts an exhibition of historical photographs from our extensive collection in our room at the Valley Heights Locomotive Heritage Museum at Valley Heights which is open from 10.00am to 4.00pm on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
Since the Society’s foundation in 1955, collecting images of people places and events in the local area since European settlement has been an important activity for members. There are now more than 1100 photographs in the Society’s collection which is housed in the Local Studies Section of the Springwood branch of the Blue Mountains City Library.
The Society is always interested in collecting photos relating to the area between Warrimoo and Lawson. If you have any, our research group would be very interested in seeing them with a view to placing copies in the collection for posterity
