This delightfully restored school house takes the visitor back to the days when life was less complicated and more relaxed.

The school house is nestled amidst a beautiful deer park which is set on 7 acres of magnificent mountain country in the village of Edith, where you are welcome to help feed the deer or just stroll leisurely through the grounds.

Combined with fresh country air, wide open spaces and natural spring water, this makes Edith the ideal place to get away on your own or with the children.

At 1080 metres above sea level, it provides the visitor with a true mountain climate of cool summers, balmy autumns, cold, crisp winters and lush springs. During the winter months the occasional snow fall can be expected.

Edith also provides an ideal base to explore the area by mountain or road bike in some of the most simply spectacular cycling country Australia has to offer . Sweeping downhill single tracks, meandering paths through native and pine forests, quiet country roads and more challenging routes encompass the area.

This wide variety of tracks and trails is further enhanced by being situated at up to 1350 metres above sea level. We can provide you with a range of trails or cycling routes to suit your adventurous spirit and fitness level ranging from the wilderness of the Kanangra Boyd National Park to quiet country lanes

The Edith School House is fully self contained with a queen size bed and double bunk (separate rooms), all linen, full kitchen and bathroom facilities, TV, BBQ and free tennis court and rackets are available. A slow combustion fire adds to the ambience of your stay.
