Pet Friendly
Duckmaloi Farm offers FREE on-site pet friendly services ;
- dogs can be accommodated in the cottages precinct. A large kennnel is provided under the cottage verandah space, with a small fenced run; suitable for 2 medium size animals.
- the area is disinfected after each visit, however guests need to ensure current vaccinations are in place.
- dogs must be of good nature, & expected to be comfortable in the area provided without excessive whining / barking such as might disturb other guests (in other cottage; 80m away). Guests should bring a favored toy, & blanket / ample bedding.
- a number of conditions apply & need to be agreed in writing - eg, dogs are NOT allowed inside the cottage living space, & must be on a leash whilst on the property (guests can however let dogs run free on the adjacent public entry Karawina Drive - a bush road leading to the Duckmaloi River reserve).
- horses are also welcome (max. 4), so you can enjoy riding the surrounding countryside, be close to participate at local events (eg Melrose Park ) & country shows, or access the nearby National Trail.
- yarding of horses is effected in our well sheltered cattle yards &/or adjacent small paddocks - water (& electric power) available - easy access & ample parking for horse floats.
- guests will be required to indemnify us for any damages to property, for any excess cleaning required, &/or in regard to injuries to any persons. A minimum $400 bond is required against such eventualities &, if required, to allow us means to compensate other guests should animals cause excessive disturbances.
- guests need to bring food required, & must clean up the areas occupied by their animals before departure.
- we reserve the right to require that any un-acceptable animal be removed from our property & without any compensation being payable. We will not accept any liability for injuries sustained by animals whilst visiting Duckmaloi Farm.
